Invitations to Apply

Invitations To Apply

To receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for Canada, you need to participate in the Express Entry system. Express Entry is an online system used by the Canadian government to manage applications for permanent residence from skilled workers.
Here’s a general overview of the process:
  1. Determine Your Eligibility: Check if you meet the eligibility requirements for one of the three federal economic immigration programs managed through Express Entry: the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP), the Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP), or the Canadian Experience Class (CEC).
  2. Create an Express Entry Profile: If you meet the eligibility criteria, you will need to create an Express Entry profile on the Canadian government’s official website. You will provide information about your skills, work experience, language proficiency, education, and other relevant details.
  3. Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) Score: Once your profile is completed, you will be assigned a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score based on factors such as age, education, language skills, work experience, and other additional factors. The CRS score determines your ranking in the Express Entry pool.
  4. Regular Draws: The Canadian government conducts regular draws from the Express Entry pool, inviting candidates with the highest CRS scores to apply for permanent residence. These draws usually occur every two weeks, but the frequency may vary. The selected candidates receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for permanent residence.
  5. Submitting a Complete Application: If you receive an ITA, you will have a specific timeframe (usually around 60 days) to submit a complete application for permanent residence through the Express Entry system. You will need to provide all the required documents, including medical and police clearances, proof of funds, and other supporting documents.
  6. Application Assessment: Once you submit your application, the Canadian government will assess it based on the eligibility criteria and the information provided. They may request additional documents or conduct interviews if necessary.
  7. Confirmation of Permanent Residence (COPR): If your application is approved, you will receive a Confirmation of Permanent Residence (COPR). This document allows you to become a permanent resident of Canada.
It’s important to note that meeting the minimum eligibility requirements does not guarantee an ITA, as the CRS score is a significant factor in the selection process. Having higher scores increases your chances of receiving an invitation.
You can improve your CRS score by enhancing your language skills, gaining more work experience, obtaining a higher level of education, or securing a valid job offer from a Canadian employer, among other strategies.
